The Past Pupils of Don Bosco are a network of former students who have graduated from institutions run by the Salesians of Don Bosco. This network spans across the globe connecting individuals in 136 countries and they share the values and teachings imparted by St. John Bosco. The Don Bosco pupils is not just about reminiscing the past but also about making significant contributions to society, inspired by the Salesian education they received. It is considered one of the largest alumni associations in the world, with a vast network of members dedicated to making a positive impact on society.

The Past Pupils World Confederation is the umbrella organization that brings together all Don Bosco alumni associations worldwide. Its mission is to promote the Salesian spirit among its members and to encourage them to engage in social, educational, and developmental initiatives. The Confederation provides a platform for past pupils to share experiences, resources, and ideas, fostering a global sense of solidarity and cooperation. The organization works tirelessly to ensure that the principles of St. John Bosco continue to influence the lives of alumni and the communities they serve.
Indian National Federation
of Don Bosco Past Pupils
The Indian National Federation of Don Bosco Past Pupils is a crucial part of the global network, representing alumni from various regions of India. The Federation serves as a cohesive force that unites former students in their efforts to contribute positively to society. It organizes national events, workshops, and seminars that focus on personal development, professional growth, and community service. The Indian Federation affiliated to the World Confederation of the past pupils.
Provincial Federation of Past Pupils – Bangalore Province (INK)
The Bangalore Province is a vibrant and active segment of the Indian National Federation. It encompasses the southern region of India and includes numerous Don Bosco institutions of Karnataka and Kerala. The province works towards building a strong network of alumni who are committed to making a difference in their communities. Through various programs and initiatives, the Bangalore Province aims to uphold the values of St. John Bosco and to support the personal and professional development of its members.
Don Bosco Puthuppally
Unit
The Puthuppally Unit is a proud and proactive group within the Bangalore Province. As past pupils of Don Bosco Puthuppally, we are dedicated to giving back to our alma mater and the surrounding community. Our unit conducts a variety of activities aimed at supporting the school, its students, and the society in the locality.
- Eye Screening Camp: We organized eye screening camps for students, teachers and staff of the school in association with Kurian Opticals.
- Onam Kit Distribution: During the festival of Onam, the past pupils took the initiative of distributing kits containing essential items to needy families in the locality. Our collaboration with local authorities helps us identify the families that need assistance the most. This initiative not only brings joy and relief to those in need but also fosters a sense of community and generosity among our members.
- Dental Screening Camp: We conducted dental screening camps for students and their parents. Regular dental checkups are vital for maintaining good oral health, especially for young students.
- Fund Raising Initiatives: Fancy Fete is a fund-raising event organized by the school management, staff, students, and past pupils. During this event, we set up various stalls offering a wide range of dishes. The event is not just about enjoying delicious food but also about pooling resources for charitable purposes. The proceeds from the Fancy Fete are used to support various community projects, reinforcing the spirit of giving and helping those in need.
- Christmas Star: The past pupils come together to place a hang a hang a Christmas star in the school campus as a symbol of love and affection towards all students and staff members. The Christmas star is a beautiful tradition that brings the festive spirit to our school.
- Cash Awards & Incentives: To encourage and recognize students who excel in their curricular and extracurricular activities, we provide proficiency cash awards and trophies to the most academically excellent students. These awards are part of the Navathi Scholarship, commemorating the great contributions of Rev. Fr. K. D. Joseph SDB. Additionally, we sponsor the Antony Job Sir Memorial Trophy and cash award for the highest-scoring student in physics for both 11th and 12th standards. We also sponsor the Master Sachin Raj Memorial Trophy and cash award for the best outgoing student in academics and non-academics in class 12. These awards not only recognize academic excellence but also encourage students to strive for greatness and set a shining example for their peers.
- Sponsorship Program to the needy students: We provide financial support to students who are in genuine need of economic assistance. The school management selects the beneficiaries after thorough scrutiny to ensure that the help reaches those who need it the most.
- Annual General Body Meeting of Puthuppally Unit: The Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the Puthuppally Unit is held every year in the month of December. This significant gathering celebrates the unity and accomplishments of both past and present members. All students are invited to participate in this event, making it a grand and inclusive occasion.
- Don Bosco 7s Football Tournament: One of the most fabulous activities that we do is to organize Don Bosco &s Football Tournament. The cash awards and trophies are sponsored by the past pupils.



Highlights of the AGM:
Honoring Retired Staff
A heartfelt tribute is paid to the staff members retiring in that particular year, recognizing their invaluable contributions.
Celebrating Alumni
Special honour is given to the alumni batches marking their 25th year after graduation, fostering nostalgia and camaraderie.
Celebrating Achievements
Past Pupils/ students who have achieved notable successes in their careers during the year, such as university ranks, government-recognized awards, or innovative contributions, are recognized and celebrated.
Batch Reunions
The AGM serves as a platform for various batches to reconnect and conduct reunions, strengthening the bond between the past pupils and the school.
